A Short film by Ville Kurki

Sanon sen kaikille
(original Finnish title)

I Say So To Everyone

(eng. title)

A bittersweet, tragic comedy about a confession of love that doesn't go as expected. Funny, quirky, and warm depiction of a beautifully difficult moment in the life of a brave woman. The film was inspired by a poem in a mural and some relatively real events.

To my amazement, this film idea poured out of me in the spring of 2025. I haven't made films in 20 years and haven't had any motivation to do so, but when I walked past a building where my ex-wife used to live and saw what had appeared on the wall, I sat down and basically wrote this film in Go. There was before me a sky-high mural with Mirkka Rekola's poem in it: "I love you, I say so to everyone." (translation Anne Fried). The process of making this film was the most enjoyable I have ever had with this medium.
